Oregon in Black & White

Last weekend we decided to hit down south for a mini road trip to Oregon Washington. When I think of Oregon, I think of Pinot Noir, sand dunes, food carts/street food, no sales tax and sandy beaches. Well, for that weekend getaway, we managed to check off half of that list.

Rarely we ever take two cameras with us, because the last thing we want is to lug two SLRs on a trip. But I really wanted to shoot with my new favorite lens, the Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L. This glass is a dream and I am absolutely in love.

Love the food carts and street food culture in Portland Oregon.

This gigantic LSV-7 was docked by the Maritime Museum, Astoria.

Cannon Beach, and an epic twin-bridge sand castle.

Cannon Beach, with the Haystack Rock in the background. I just found out that the Haystack Rock is the third largest monolith in the world,

Near the coastline, you’ll see this sign everywhere. Umm… comforting..

My favorite part of Portland — the Pearl District.
