How amazing is it, within the spend of two weeks I got to witness two weddings in Hong Kong, and also shot my bestman’s engagement photos. Love is in the air, and we are so honoured to be part of your wedding.
In fact, my wife Ellie is Joey’s cousin, and they grew up together in Hong Kong. When we got married in 2011, Joey flew in from Hong Kong as one of the bridesmaid for our wedding. And this time around, it was our time to fly across the pacific to witness Joey & Ray’s wedding.
I was not the official photographer for this wedding, so I was able to take the back seat and enjoy this wedding. But I thought it wouldn’t hurt if I brought just one camera and one lens with me and made sure I was ninja-like and not in the official photographers’ way.
The Chinese character on the phone case translates to “Double Happiness.” It’s a Chinese ornamental design often appears in Chinese New Year celebrations and weddings. It’s impossible to miss it!
We absolutely ran out of real-estate. There were literally over 30 people at one time inside a 600+sq feet apartment. So for my wife to even have a place to sit for her makeup was a luxury.
