We absolutely love engagement session! Or we like to call it a “double-date.” Instead of being all super formal where “I am the photographer, and you are my subject…”, we like to think that an e-session with our clients are just like a double-date, but just happens that we carry a fancy camera with us. And this time around, our double date was a hiking trip with Angela & Isan.
Vancouver weather can be rather unpredictable, with forecast as good as mine. Even though Angela was a little worry about the weather the day before, but knowing Yinger, we are going hiking regardless!
Our date started off at Stanley Park, wanted to see what’s left on the cherry blossom. As much as there weren’t much left on the tree, but there were plenty lying on the grass. So why not?!
After a quick lunch, we headed up to Mt. Seymour for our hike! It felt rather strange seeing skiers and snowboarders’ cruising down the hill while it was hot and sunny at Stanley Park just not too long ago! But if you’ve never been to Vancouver, this is a place where you can ski, golf and hit the beach all on the same day. Amazing eh?
We knew this wouldn’t be a walk in the park, as the trail was still covered in snow. So we were all geared up, and ready to hit the trail. The heavy camera equipment, a camera dangled around our necks and snow-covered trail definitely made it more challenging for this supposing easy trail.
But like everything in life, there are no shorts. The only way to reach to this viewpoint is to do the hike, embrace the condition and the reward awaits.
