I never really understood maternity photos, not until we had Ayden, that’s when we gain a new appreciation of this form of photography. It’s always a blast when working with expecting parent, as the excitement, joy, and anticipation overflows organically. And we always get a “kick” out of it! (pun intended!)
A day after we arrived to Hong Kong, we were welcomed into the comfort of Emily & Julian’s home, to document the moments of the soon-to-be parent.
The first shot of the day, looking skyward at Julian.
You can just see the excitement and the anticipation.
And… that’s a wrap!
// Behind-the-scene
With population of 6544/km2, real estate in Hong Kong is the ultimate luxury. So shooting in tight spaces poses a different set of challenges. In this BTS shot I was pressed against the window, and often you’ll find me hanging off the ceiling. I knew I should of took yoga.
