MELISSA & PETER'S ENGAGEMENT SHOOT

The world is my studio. Why stuck my clients in a studio with hot flashes when we could all just travel light and embrace the great outdoor. No fancy equipments, just a camera body & a couple of good-o sturdy lenses.

We took advantage of the fresh snow that came down the day before the shoot, however the sun broke through the blanket of clouds and blessed us with a wonderful day of shoot.

Indeed it was a cold day, Melissa in her trusty UGG, however Peter just maned-up with a t-shirt & coat.

Note: I love how beautiful the fir trees covered by snow and frost.

What’s the secret in scouting great location? Lot of improvisation and scout on the day of the shoot.

On this particular shoot, we just want to shoot wherever and whenever, so we just drove around Surrey/White Rock till we find a location to my heart’s content.

Of course, there are shoots that requires extensive research and preparation from props, location to elaborate shoot description on the dime, but there are also shoot like this one you see here, ones that you just pack everything in a Volkswagen, grab a coffee at a Tim Horton’s drive-thru, and hang out with your client till the sundown skirts the moor.

Gotta love what I do.
